scope:
This standard provides or references tests and test procedures for the assessment of safety and insensitive munitions (IM) characteristics for all non-nuclear munitions, munitions subsystems and explosive devices.
Purpose. The purpose is to provide a framework for the development of a consolidated safety and IM assessment test program for non-nuclear munitions. The tests are to characterize the munitions and provide the service review organization information with which to make a decision.
