active, Most Current
Organization: FAA
Publication Date: 9 August 1988
Status: active
Page Count: 413
scope:

In meeting the requirements and capabilities specified in Section 3, the MCCP/MMC will use commercial off-the-shelf hardware, software, documentation, and support services in every instance where it minimizes the Governments cost.

This document specifies the detailed engineering requirements, technical specifications, and performance characteristics for the Maintenance Control Center Processor/Maintenance Monitor Console (MCCP/MMC). The MCCP/MMC is to be installed at Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC) and is to be used by the ARTCC System Engineer (SE) to monitor ARTCC system status, to respond to system alarms, and to exercise command and control over the operations of the ARTCC and remote facilities and services through an interface with the Remote Maintenance Monitoring (RMM) System.

The MCCP/MMC provides the means for the Systems Engineer/NAS MCCP/MMC Specialists to monitor status, to respond to alarms, and to exercise command and control of NAS facilities and services associated with ARTCC functions. These En Route Systems, Ground-to-Air Systems, Interfacility Communications Systems, and Auxiliary Systems are described in the NAS Plan (NASP) Chapters III, VI, VII, and VIII.
