This INTERIM Standard relates to a synthetic detergents powder for the washing of fabrics in industrial type laundry washing machines using fresh water, reverse osmosis or ion-exchange water. It may also be used for hand washing of fabrics. The detergent shall be suitable on all fabrics, including fabrics which have been treated with flame retardant materials and special finish. The material is intended to be used with minimum quantities consistent with the degree of soiling and the hardness of the water.
