scope:

This specification covers maintenance trucks with a rotating and telescoping hydraulic derrick. Vehicles procured under this specification are commercial items which are warranted by the manufacturer as specified in acquisition documents.

The vehicle shall be one of the types, models, classes, and sizes shown in table I, as specified (see 6.2). The model of the vehicle shall be determined by the number of wheels and number of driving wheels. The size of the vehicle shall be the length of the pole that the derrick shall be capable of setting. The class of a vehicle shall be determined by the minimum gross vehicle weight (GVW) rating as specified in table II: *TABLE II. GVW ratings.
