This specification covers single and double-threaded wood screws with round, flat countersunk and oval countersunk heads having slotted or cross-recessed drives.
Wood screws shall be of the following types and styles (see 6.1).
Type: I - Single thread II - Double thread Style: 1s - Round head, slotted drive. 1c - Round head, cross-recessed drive. 2s - Flat countersunk head, slotted drive. 2c - Flat countersunk head, cross-recessed drive. 6s - Oval countersunk head, slotted drive. 6c - Oval countersunk head, cross-recessed drive.
Wood screws shall be of the sizes specified in the applicable Military Standard (MS) and ANSI B18.6.1.
