scope:
The purpose of AAP-15 is threefold:
a. to give the full form of the abbreviations most commonly found and used in NATO documents and publications, for those who do not have access to the NATO Terminology Database (NTDB) via the NTMS;
b. to encourage authors to use correct and standardized abbreviations and full forms when drafting documents or correspondence;
c. to provide drafters of documents with an updated list of such abbreviations.
