This guide specification covers the requirements for dry and wet standpipe and hose systems for fire extinguishing in multistory and multilevel buildings . Standpipe system requirements must conform to the current edition of MIL-HDBK-1008, "Fire Protection for Facilities Engineering Design, and Construction," and NFPA 14.
