scope:

Use, Relationship: This Data ltem Description (DID) specifies the content and format for submitting special packaging instructions.

a. This DID identifies the format and content preparation instructions for special packaging instructions (SPI) resulting from the work task described by 4.1 of MIL-STD-2073-1.

b. This data, prepared on DD Form 21 69, applies to all special group items as defined in MIL-STD-2073-1.

c. When Special Packaging Instructions (SPI) are required, DI-PACK-I0120B, Preservation and Packaging Data. also applies.

d. When the SPI applies to packaging of hazardous materials (except those materials excluded by United Nations Recommendations on the Transport of Dangerous Goods as implemented by the International Civil Aviation Organization and the Intemational Maritime Organization Regulations), DI-PACK-8 1059, Performance Oriented Packaging (POP) Test report applies.

e. This DID supersedes DI-PACK-80121A
