INTRODUCTION

Standards in Defence News (SID News) is published every two months. Since the discontinuation of automatic distribution of Defence Standards, SID News has become more important in informing the reader of those standards within the Ministry of Defence which are being prepared, or considered for publication and gives notice of those Defence Standards which are newly published, those which have been recently cancelled, revised, amended or declared obsolescent. Articles relating to standardization are also included, which can be submitted by anyone whether they be from the MOD, Industry or Academia.
