This standard establishes a set of Realtime Environment Profiles based on ISO/IEC 9945-1:1990 (3) as amended by IEEE Std 1003.1b-1993 (5), IEEE Std 1003.5b-1996 (9), and ISO/IEC 9945-2:1993 (4) (POSIX) work and related standards specifying foundations for realtime applications. The Application Environment Profiles specified herein are appropriate for the development and execution of realtime applications using the services and utilities provided by standards called out in this document.
