This specification covers anchor bolts for anchoring firebricks in oil-fired boilers of Naval vessels.

Anchor bolts shall be of the following classes and types, as specified (see 6.1):

Class A - 25 percent chromium - 20 percent nickel corrosion resistant steel. Class B - Nickel-chromium-iron-alloy steel. Type a - Straight end Type b - Hook end.
