The standard for Digital Short Range Radio (DSRR) applies to equipment designed to operate within the private land mobile radio service in the 900 MHz band. It covers the minimum characteristics considered necessary for the DSRR system using digital transmission techniques and an automated multi-channel access technique in order to make the best use of available frequencies. It does not necessarily include all the characteristics which may be required by a user, nor does it necessarily represent the optimum.
