This specification defines the rate adaptation functions to be used in GSM PLMN Mobile Stations for adapting terminal interface data rates to the MS-BSS interface data rates in accordance with GSM 03.10.
The provision of these functions will depend on the services a particular station is designed to support.
Note: This Specification should be considered together with GSM Specification 08.20 (Rate Adaptation on the BSS-MSC Interface) to give a complete description of PLMN rate adaptation.
