This document gives equivalent terms and their definition for machinery safety in the three official languages of CEN and CENELEC. The terms included are those which have been identified as being fundamental to machinery safety standards because their equivalence and definition are necessary to avoid ambiguity and ensure consistency of use. In addition to terms used in the three official languages, terms in Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish are included.
