This European Standard specifies additional requirements to and/or exceptions from EN 474-1:1994 "Earth-moving machinery - Safety - Part 1: General requirements". This European Standard applies to pipelayers defined in ISO 6165:1997, and gives additional requirements for a rear mounted winch.
