scope:

Purpose.

To describe and assign responsibility and accountability for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Hotline Program, and to establish policy and procedures for NAVFAC Hotline investigations and any other Inspector General (IG) investigators conducted within NAVFAC. Reference (a) provides guidance for all Department of Navy (DON) Hotline Programs and applies in its entirety. This instruction provides additional detail for NAVFAC- specific Hotline procedures and staffing, training, and investigative procedures for Echelon III and IV commands when directed to perform investigations on behalf of the NAVFAC IG or while performing self-directed Hotline investigations. Applicability.

This instruction applies to all commands within the NAVFAC claimancy.
