The standard specifies requirements for two types of steel tube intended for use in falsework and in access and working scaffolds constructed with separate tubes and couplers. They have an outside diameter of 48,3 mm, and wall thicknesses of 3,2 mm and 4,0 mm. It also specifies tests on protective coatings and gives values for the design of structures.
