This Defence Standard (DEF STAN) specifies the arrangements for Oil and Bilge Water Shipboard Processing, including Bilge Water Separating and Filtering Equipment in HM Surface Ships and Submarines.
The Standard is primarily intended for the Bilge Water Separating and Filtering Equipment Designer and Manufacturer, but it includes certain requirements which also apply to the Ship Designer and Shipbuilder.
