This part of ISO 8859 specifies a set of 184 graphic characters identified as Latin alphabet No. 3. This set of graphic characters is intended for use in data processing and text applications and may also be used for information interchange. The set contains graphic characters used for general purpose applications in typical office environments in the following languages: Afrikaans, Catalan, Dutch, English, Esperanto, German, Italian, Maltese, Spanish and Turkish.
