1 Scope
1.1 This standard defines the minimum requirements for the mechanical design, materials selection, fabrication, inspection, testing, and preparation for shipment of gasketed plate heat exchangers, sometimes referred to as plate-and-frame heat exchangers, for general refinery services. This standard covers only gasketed plate heat exchangers.
1.2 As used in this standard, the term heat exchangers, or exchangers, includes condensers, coolers, and reboilers.
