These recommendations cover the design of thin shell concrete structures and only apply to the thin shell portions of such structures unless otherwise stated.
All applicable sections of the ACI Building Code (ACI 318), including the precast and prestressed concrete sections of the Code, should be followed in the design of shell structures except where they conflict with the following provisions.
