This specification covers the Communications Mode Selector Control, CMSC, C-10377()/GTC which is a tactical, ruggedized applique device which interfaces the TSEC/KY-57 with remote wire-line users, local data users and local handsets. It provides for automatic mode switching of the TSEC/KY-57 and for proper routing of received data to the appropriate user interface using a half duplex link configuration. (See 6.7)
intended Use:
The CMSC shall be used where an interface control unit is required to control a TSEC/KY-57 with data supplied from a local or remote wireline user and to route data to a proper interface point.
