scope:

Purpose. To implement references (a) through (g) and to provide revised program guidance.

Applicability. This instruction applies to:

a. Any replenishment part (hereafter referred to as "part") centrally managed and procured by the Navy.

b. All personnel involved with design control, acquisition and management of such parts including, but not limited to, program/project/system managers, technical personnel, contracting officers, legal counsel, inventory managers, inspectors and Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization specialists and their technical advisors.

c. The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) or Hardware Systems Command (HSC) having inventory management responsibility for an item subject to the RPPOB Program.
