This Part of the Naval Engineering Standard (NES) defines the specific requirements for Stores Compartments in HM Surface Ships and where appropriate RFAs.
It includes the purpose of the store, location within the ship, compartment size and the stores facilities to be provided.
NOTE: In some instances it is not possible to define the stores compartment sizes, in such cases the requirement will be specified in the Staff Requirement (Sea) SR(S).
