この規格は、車室内ＶＯＣ（揮発性有機化合物）低減を目的に部品から放散されるＶＯＣの測定方法に ついて規定するもので、厚生労働省の室内ＶＯＣ指針値で対象とされている物質のうち、ホルムアルデ ヒド、アセトアルデヒド、トルエン、キシレン、エチルベンゼン、スチレン、パラジクロロベンゼンの 部品からのＶＯＣ放散量測定方法を規定する。ここでは、主に試料の取扱やＶＯＣの捕集方法について 規定する。

This standard specifies the method of measuring the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted from the materials of car parts in order to facilitate the studies in the reduction of in-occupant-room VOCs including formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, styrene and p-dichlorobenzene among the substances which are listed in the guideline specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare on the air contamination in rooms. This standard mainly covers the sample preparation and VOC collection procedures.
