This Defence Standard specifies the standardized performance requirements and hardware interface to allow forward area refuelling of member nations' rotary wing aircraft engaged in land operations as defined in (STANAG 2999). Participating nations have agreed that the criteria established by the following paragraphs shall apply in the selection of hardware for forward area refuelling equipment.
