This specification covers general requirements for covers intended to protect the following aircraft parts:
Cockpit Fuselage Canopy Engine Armament Propeller or Rotor Miscellaneous
Covers shall be of the following types, as specified (see 6.2):
Type I - Waterproof Fabric Material (see 3.3.1.1) Type II - Coated Material (see 3.3.1.2)
intended Use:
Covers conforming to this specification are intended to protect aircraft components from the weathering elements.
