scope:
This specification covers the following types of inside telephone cables. (See 6.1).
(a) Type I - 26 pair, No. 24 AWG telephone cable, composed of coated copper conductors, insulated with polyethylene, cabled, marked, bound, wrapped and jacketed with a polyvinylchloride compound, and color coded in accordance with Pair No. 1 through 26 of Table I.
(b) Type II - 14 pair, No. 24 AWG telephone cable, composed of coated copper conductors, insulated with polyethylene, cabled, marked, bound, wrapped and jacketed with a polyvinylchloride compound, and color coded in accordance with Pair No. 1 through 14 of Table I.
(c) Type III - 14 pair, No. 24 AWG telephone cable, composed of coated copper conductors, insulated with polyethylene, cabled, marked, bound, wrapped and jacketed with a polyvinylchloride compound, and color coded in accordance with Pair No. 13 through 26 of Table I.
intended Use:
Types I, II, and III telephone cables are intended for field communications system.
