This ETS states the minimum requirements for a narrow-band direct printing (NBDP) maritime receiver operating in the NAVTEX system. The equipment's function is to receive and print automatically and continuously meteorological and navigational messages and Search and Rescue (SAR) messages transmitted by coast stations participating in the NAVTEX system.
