This specification establishes the requirements for aircraft accessory power transmission shafts for use in transmitting power from the driving device, such as an aircraft engine, hydraulic motor, jet fuel starter, or auxiliary power unit to a gearbox or accessory.
The shaft designation shall be assigned by the procuring activity in accordance with MIL-STD-875 and shall be specified in the model specification.
intended Use:
The power transmission shafts covered by this specification are intended for use in driving accessory gearboxes or accessories from the driving devices.
