scope:

This specification prescribes the requirements for the preparation of technical data packages (TDPs). Department of Defense personnel responsible for ordering TDPs shall determine their needs on the basis of the use of the data with careful consideration of the immediate planned and probable future use of the system or materiel to which the data relates.

This specification covers the following elements of the Technical Data Package (TDP).

a. Design drawings in accordance with MIL-T-47500/1.

b. Product drawings in accordance with MIL-T-47500/2. Beneficial comments (recommendations, additions, deletions) and any pertinent data which may be of use in improving this document should be addressed to: Commander, U.S. Army Missile Command, ATTN: AMSMI-RD-SE-TD-ST, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898-5270, by using the self-addressed standardization Document Improvement Proposal (DD Form 1426) appearing at the end of this document or by letter.

c. Commercial Drawings in accordance with MIL-T-47500/3.

d. Special test equipment (STE), special inspection equipment (SIE) and special tooling drawings in accordance with MIL-T-47500/4.

e. Specifications in accordance with MIL-T-47500/5.

f. Quality assurance provisions in accordance with MIL-T-47500/6.

g. Packaging instructions in accordance with MIL-STD-2073-1.
