This specification covers the requirements for two types and two classes of ultra-thin film, water displacing, corrosion preventive compounds which may be applied by dipping, spray gun, brushing or from non-fully halogenated chlorofluorocarbon gas pressurized containers (see 6.1).
The compounds shall be furnished in the following types, classes, and propellant grades as specified (see 6.2d).
Type II - Soft film. Class 1 - Nonpressurized container (brush, dip or spray application). Class 2 - Pressurized container (for spray application). Type III - Soft film (Avionic grade). Class 1 - Nonpressurized container (brush, dip or spray application). Class 2 - Pressurized container (for spray application).
Class 2 propellants shall be of the following grades:
Grade 22 - Hydrochlorofluorocar
