This Defence Standard specifies requirements for two nitrile rubber-resin adhesives of differing solids content, suitable for brush application. Grade S1 has a higher viscosity than Grade S2 and requires a longer time for complete drying. They are suitable for use on both porous and non-porous surfaces including metals and non-metals, particularly where oil resistance and/or plasticizer resistance and/or high peel strength are required.
