scope:

The standard describes a method for determination of chromium in water, sludge and sediment by atomic absorption spectrometry in flame. For water both water soluble and acid soluble chromium can be determined, for sludge and sediment only acid soluble chromium can be determined. The standard shall be used together with DS 259 describing general principles and guidelines for determination of metals by atomic absorption spectrometry in flame.
