This dictionary defines concepts used in the computer-aided preparation of product definition data. The rapid growth of computer-aided preparation of product definition data precludes this dictionary from being exhaustive and final.
Purpose. The purpose of this dictionary is to present an organized body of concepts and their corresponding terms relevant to the field of computeraided preparation of product definition data, and to identify relationships among the concepts and among terms. An objective of the standard is to aid in improving communications concerning the use of the computer in the preparation of product definition data.
