scope:
- This specification covers propellant suitable for use in loading ammunition for the 20 mm Aircraft Gun, Mark 12. As used in this specification, the work "powder" is synonymous with "propellant".
- The propellant shall be of one type: single base (nitrocellulose).
- The propellant shall be of one class: Cylindrical, containing metal fouling inhibitor. Although powder is normally furnished in accordance with the formulas, granulations, processes and desired ballistics described herein, powder deviating in these respects may be procured under this military specification when such specific deviations are authorized in the contract or order.
