PURPOSE. This order establishes guidelines and procedures for the systematic destruction or retention of records and their retirement to a Federal Records Center as required by Federal statutes and regulations. Disposition of records must be accomplished in accordance with approved standards set forth in this order. This order has been sent to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) for review.
