This instruction applies to all United States Navy (USN), United States Marine Corps (USMC), Department of Defense (DoD) contractor shipboard or shore-based aircraft operating facilities, regardless of size, which utilize shipboard or shore-based ALRE and visual/optical landing aids systems.

Purpose. To assign responsibility for technical support and on-site technical assistance under the cognizance of the Naval Air Systems Command Headquarters (NAVAIRHQ), Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Program Manager Air (PMA251).
