This part of the I-ETS specifies the electroacoustic characteristics for terminal equipment intended for use in the videotelephone teleservice in the ISDN using handset and Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) encoding according to CCITT Recommendation G.711[11], A-law and u-law. The videotelephony teleservice in the ISDN is defined in ETS 300 264 [5].
