The present document describes the procedures in the network related to location registration. They include:
- location updating;
- location cancellation;
- periodic location updating;
- IMSI attach/detach.
The procedures in the Mobile Station (MS) are described in GSM 03.22. The procedures between MSC, VLR and HLR utilize the Mobile Application Part (MAP) and details concerning the exchange of information are contained in GSM 09.02.
