This part of ISO 10202 specifies key management requirements for financial transaction systems using integrated circuit cards. It defines procedures and processes for the secure management of cryptographic keys used during the card lift cycle and transaction processing in an integrated circuit environment. Both symmetric and asymmetric key management schemes are addressed. Minimum key management requirements are specified.
