scope:

This Practice describes the requirements for furnishing, transporting, handling, and installing driven load-bearing piles, conforming to the load capacities specified in the Contract Documents. Pile load tests and dynamic monitoring tests are included if within the contract scope of work.

Pile types covered in this Practice are as follows:

- Steel pipe piles

- Concrete-filled thin shell piles

- Steel "H" piles

- Step taper piles

- Prestressed concrete piles

- Timber piles

Any conflicts or inconsistencies between this Practice, the design drawings, or other Contract Documents shall be brought to the attention of the Buyer for resolution.

Purpose

This Practice provides the Contractor with a driven pile specification.
