This specification defines the performance requirements for sealants which are applied to threaded parts.   2.   3. APPLICATION This specification was originally released for bolts, screws where thread sealing is required. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STATISTICALPROCESS Suppliers must conform t o the requirements of Ford Quality System Standard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is requiredformaterials/sourceapproval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyse process/product data so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 APPLICATION OF THE SEAfANT Parts will be received in a coated condition.
