REISSUANCE AND PURPOSE
This Instruction:
Reissues reference (a) under the authority of reference (b).
Establishes procedures and assigns responsibilities under reference (b) for the creation or acquisition and life cycle management of DoD productions.
Authorizes DD Form 1995, "Visual Information (VI) Production Request and Report," enclosure 3.
APPLICABILITY
This Instruction applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizations within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as "the DoD Components").
This Instruction does not apply to the productions or entities provided at enclosure 4 or covered by Executive Order 12951 (reference (c)).
