SCOPE AND APPLICABILITY

The MSFC management instruction MMI 8070.3 provides the requirements for the application of approved specifications to procurement documentation for programs/projects for which MSFC is responsible. This manual is applicable for use by organizational elements of MSFC that are responsible for the definition or contractual implementation of engineering requirements applicable to the design, development, fabrication, verification, and delivery of items manufactured or procured by MSFC.

PURPOSE

The purpose of this manual is to provide a basic selection of specifications that are to be used in defining technical requirements and verification criteria for end items fabricated or procured for MSFC programs/projects. Annexes A through C of this manual cover documents having general, unrestricted applicability to most programs/projects. Annex D covers documents that have been deleted. Annex E covers abbreviations and acronyms as used in this document.
