scope:

This standard provides information for the design. installation. inspection and maintenance of Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) using rods, stretched wires, and mushed conductors as airtermination system for the protection of structures against lightning as indicated in Sub-clause 1.1 2, as well as for persons, installations and contents in or on them.

Note - Ar -termination systems other than those considered in this standard such as early streameremission terminals exist but are outcide the scope of this Standard. They are taken into account in the standards ssued by National Commiîtees of some countnec.
