Purpose. This regulation implements DOD Directive 5100.51 and assigns Department of the Army responsibilities in connection therewith. DOD Directive 5100.51 establishes policies for the protection and evacuation of US citizens and certain designated aliens in danger areas abroad, and assigns responsibilities within the Department of Defense.
