scope:

This Standard applies to panelboards and enclosed panelboards, rated 600 V and less, for use in nonhazardous locations in accordance with the R u l e s of the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I , to provide overcurrent protection for a number of circuits.

Clauses 1 to 6 apply to panelboards and enclosed panelboards of other than the service entrance type and apply, unless otherwise noted, to the panelboards covered by Clauses 7 and 8 as follows:

(a) Clause 7--Panelboards for service entrance use: and

(b) Clause 8--Custom-built panelboard assemblies.

This Standard covers the construction of the synthetic fuses to be used in the simulated load cycle test on fusible panelboards (see Clause 9).
