This Defence Standard 02-512 Part 3 contains details for the selection of Ethylene Propylene (EPR)/Limited Fire Hazard (LFH) insulated and LFH sheathed electrical cables for general services in HM Surface Ships and Submarines. It also provides reference data for the glands, deck tubes and cable terminations associated with the particular cables.
Chlorosulphonated Polyethylene (CSP) LFH Sheathed Pressure Tight Cables, as shown in Table 4.37 to Table 4.42 inclusive, are included in this Standard for information only. They shall not to be used for any new construction vessels.
