This specification establishes the requirements for the manufacture and inspection of the Smokey SAM Simulator. The Smokey SAM Simulator is comprised of the GTR-18A Rocket, the PVU-3A/E Igniter, and a breech hole shield.
intended Use:
The Smokey SAM Simulator is intended for use with the LMU-23A/E and LMU-24A/E Launchers to train aviation and ground forces to recognize and cope with attacking surface-launch missiles.
